A comfortable, collaborative and contemporary environment
The refurbishment of the existing Traders cafe within a Grade II listed building on the Glenside Campus for the University of the West of England (UWE), created a new social learning hub, illuminated solely with diVa lighting HALO luminaires in a colossal 2.4M diameter.
A professional, contemporary aesthetic was a core part of the brief, ensuring the space creates a strong first impression for both current users and prospective students attending UWE open days and selection events. The super sized luminaires provided direct and indirect illumination, carefully highlighting the important features of the impressive building, whilst providing effective illumination for the newly designed space beneath.
