Vertical Aerospace

Engineering spaces for the next generation of electric aircraft

Vertical Aerospace is developing the VX4, a piloted, zero-emission electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft. In Bristol the company opened the Vertical Energy Centre in March 2023: a 15,000 sq ft facility, one of the few dedicated aerospace battery facilities in the UK, where its battery team designs, tests and builds the aircraft’s battery packs.

Assembly halls, test bays and engineering offices all need high, uniform light that shows true colour and fine detail, without glare on screens or shadows across the work. diVa GLAUCOS, HERCULES LED and AJAX PRO luminaires light the halls, test bays and workshops, with FROG EYE PRO twin spots for the emergency escape lighting. Where precision is the product, the lighting has to keep up.
